Bemm River is a small coastal hamlet, approximately 52kms from Orbost, East Gippsland.Once you reach Manorina on the Princes Highway, turn right and travel 24 kms towards the coast.
The township is adjacent to the Croajingalong National Park. As you approach the township, on the left hand side, you will see the heritage Bemm River, on the right hand side you will pass the legendary ‘Elephant Rock’.
Opposite the Recreation Reserve is Dolly’s Garden, which has a fishing platform on the river in addition to bbq and toilet factilies.
Luderick Point Memorial Park is situated opposite the hotel on the banks of Sydenham Inlet, where there are toilets, bbq facilities and a playground for the children.
Bemm River is also a haven for birdwatchers, offering approximately 265 different species, bush
walkers and cyclists. For the anglers, there is a modern launching facility with cleaning facilities and picnic tables.Pristine surf beaches are an easy drive. Pearl Point offers excellent fishing,whale watching platform and camp sites.
Peruse the breathtaking views from Mount Bemm, visit the huge palms at nearby Cabbage Tree, or explore the Rainforest Walk at the top of Bemm River. OR visit the cool temperate Erinunderra State Forest.
